Role / Job Description
An SAP Basis Consultant is responsible for the technical administration and management of SAP systems, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and provide uninterrupted service to the organization.
This role involves installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP systems and related infrastructure
- SAP Basis Administration – Manage and support SAP systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- SAP HANA & Oracle Expertise – Perform database administration, tuning, patching, and upgrades.
- System Upgrades & Migrations – Lead SAP system upgrades, migrations, and conver-sion projects (ECC to S/4HANA).
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting – Identify and resolve SAP and database per-formance issues.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability – Configure and manage SAP HA/DR solutions for business continuity.
- Configuring SAP system landscapes, including servers, databases, and application components.
- Customizing system settings, profiles, and parameters to optimize performance, securi-ty, and reliability.
- Generating and analyzing system performance reports, logs, and metrics to monitor system health and identify trends or anomalies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and MSc in computer science, information technology, or similar preferred
- Experience: 3-5 years in SAP Basis administration with a focus on HANA, Oracle, and SAP BTP.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, Oracle DB, and SAP NetWeaver.
- HANA & traditional database management
- System monitoring & troubleshooting
- SAP security & user administration
- Backup and recovery strategies
- Experience with system migrations (SUM, DMO, SWPM) and OS/DB migrations.
- Current knowledge of SAP systems, deployment, and integration.
- Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Possesses advanced knowledge and expertise in SAP Basis administration, infrastructure design, and system architecture.
