Senior SAP SD Consultant - Energy & Utilities

Role / Job Description

• Help shape the commercial side of Greece’s energy market. You’ll lead Sales & Distribution (SAP SD) on S/4HANA for Utilities clients—designing simple, reliable sales processes that connect smoothly with metering, billing and collections.
• Own the end-to-end SD scope for Utilities customers: quotations, contracts, orders, returns, and billing outputs.
• Design sales flows for retail energy and non-energy offerings (devices, services, maintenance).
• Make sure sales data lines up with customer and contract records, move-in/move-out events, pricing and tariffs, and credit/dunning rules.
• Coordinate with Materials Management, Finance/Controlling and, where relevant, warehouse and field-service teams to keep stock and service items in sync.
• Set up stable integrations with CRM/e-commerce, metering platforms and market data exchanges.
• Lead testing, cutover and data migration (customers, price conditions, open orders) and track hypercare KPIs.
• Coach junior consultants and work closely with Billing, Credit & Collections, Customer Service and Metering.

Qualifications

What sets you up for success

• 5–6+ years hands-on SAP SD with multiple end-to-end projects; at least one in the Utilities domain or with Utilities integration.
• Strong Order-to-Cash design (pricing/conditions, tax, outputs, returns, intercompany) and confidence working alongside billing/collections and metering teams.
• Good understanding of regulated vs deregulated energy market models and how sales fits with billing and collections.
• Comfortable integrating SD with MM and Finance; exposure to warehouse or maintenance flows is a plus.
• Clear communicator who delivers in fast-paced environments. Fluent English; Greek strongly preferred for local engagements.

• Metering & Energy Data: Conducts meter readings, validation, and estimation.
• Device & Field Operations: Installs, removes, exchanges meters; manages disconnections/reconnections.
• Rates & Billing: Applies tariffs and processes billing corrections.
• Invoicing & Output: Designs bills and oversees electronic invoicing.
• Receivables & Collections: Processes payments, dunning, and deposits.
• Credit & Risk Management: Evaluates credit and sets collection limits.
• Market Processes: Manages supplier switching and market messaging.
• Customer Service: Resolves complaints and adjusts accounts.
• KPIs & Compliance: Monitors performance and ensures regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

• Exposure to convergent/combined invoicing scenarios and partner rebates.
• Familiarity with modern sales apps (Fiori), available-to-promise and credit management.
• Understanding of market messaging standards and their impact on sales/contract flows.
